The Pikeys perform a mixed bag of American, Irish, Scottish and French dance tunes, airs, ballads and come-all-ye's, for dancing, weeping and generally carrying on. They have played for many years in New England, Scotland and France in clubs, libraries, schools, halls, museums and at outdoor events. With Scott Atwood and Rita Hutchinson, they put on a musical Robert Burns Supper every year on the poet's birthday.
The Pikeys consist of: Fred Higgins, Scotland (fiddle, mandolin, vocals);
Rose Higgins, Maryland (concertina, whistle, guitar); Patrick Fyfe, England (guitar, mandolin, vocals); Phil Grant, New Jersey (mandolin, vocals) and sometimes Camille Lovell, Massachusetts (fiddle, ukelele, vocals).
The Pikeys would like to break your heart or at least your legs and will do so for a sliding fee based on your finances.
