My name is James"Scorpio"Andrews and I have been a music educator for over 14 years,primarily working with at-risk youth.In a number of settings such as schools,camps,workshops,and lock up facilities.We use the culture of hiphop to help students with writing skills while allowing them to be creative,we have open discussions improve sessions.And while working on their own cd project each student learns,about team building,problem solving,and a host of other life skills.The focus is always on positive content,which means no four letter words,no disrespecting women or men,no gang shout outs,and no promoting drug dealing.All and all it is an upbuliding experience for both teacher and student.I have had the opportunity to teach for the Community School of Springfield,Travel with Experiment alternative school,RFK and Terri Thomas on tinkham rd.Girls Inc holyoke mass,The Boys and Girls Club holyoke and westfield,female lock up in SouthHadley,The Hasbro learning Intiative,Chicopee Public School teachers,most of the middle schools in Springfield mass,and many other places.And look forward to serving many more youth at home and abroad through the Hiphop Clinic James"Scorpio"Andrews
