Radioplasma is a community, independent media outlet, integrating a radio station platform, a podcast, visual, and multimedia repository for oral stories, music, performances, randomness, news, info, conversations, talks and opinions, generated by a diverse and multicultural community based in Holyoke, Massachusetts. We engage with all forms of expression, and we cover all sort of topics, promoting a peace culture through conversations. We outreach to the Pioneer Valley, Western Mass, and New England.
Created in 2016 by Iohann Rashi Vega as a media literacy workshop for the youth in Holyoke, this concept established itself also as a community service for information and a broaden approach to local affairs, not always covered by the mainstream media.
Iohann Vega is a musician, DJ, and media professional with 12 years of public radio experience. Involved with music, technology, education, media, and youth at a development center, teaching skills for all these disciplines and engaging community through arts, events and a podcast.
