Pan Morigan is a jubilant vocalist and award-winning songwriter. She gives performances of genre-defying original song influenced by Jazz, folk, Irish and Greek music - with something undefinable and deeply imaginative mixed in.
In concert she arrives solo, with a wide, silvery vocal range, and an entertainingly large array of instruments with which to accompany herself - violin, accordion, guitar, hunter's harp, etc. (She can also provide a world-class duo or trio.)
As a member of Chrysalis Theater, Pan offers performance readings, with original, live music, as a duo with acclaimed writer (and Smith College theater professor,) Andrea Hairston. This year the duo tours Andrea Hairston's newest book, Redwood and Wildfire, a multi-cultural, historical novel set in the early 1900s. (see www.panmorigan.com or www.andreahairston.com)
Pan also composes new music for theater and dance, and offers voice and/or songwriting workshops for children and adults.
