Hi! I'm an independent artist, newly working out of Northampton, MA where I collect friends with my outdoor drawing club. My work is whimsical and playful, with a touch of the absurd. It is my mission to seek out how much delight I can generate for myself and others by creating with dopamine-centric subjects and color palettes. My education in the arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (with an emphasis in Art Education) was very interdisciplinary as I traversed the worlds of oil painting, printmaking, collage, and ceramics. At the moment, my focus has been in cut paper collage as I recall the time I had working for Chicago artist T. Fitzpatrick. My background in education also informs my practice as I think about the ways in which my early artistic vision was shaped by guiding principles that pushed young creatives to think on their creations in the way that was meaningful to someone else. I am excited to step into my working artist life and expand my reach within the community and engage with other artists who want to make something rad. One day I hope to open my own makers space/gallery and provide a setting where artists can have access to a broad range of tools and technologies to make their visions a reality.
