I am a visual artist, musician, and writer working and residing in North Adams, MA. Central to my body of work are paintings that fuse found and personal imagery into surreal compositions. My subejcts are situated in a kind of abstract dreamspace where meaning is grounded in emotional resonance, semantic associations, and metaphorical/metanymical relations between ideas. Memory, too, plays an essential role in all my media, providing faulty certitude to the constructed narratives. As art aims to express truth through illusions and fictions, it is precisely these dubious recollections, fluid categories, and false equivocations featured in my work that attempt to tease out the subjective reality of experience at the intersection of personal and cultural identity.
In 2016 I achieved my BA in art at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Since then I've remained in North Adams to engage with the flourishing arts community in various ways, including volunteering for an artist collective, showing work in local galleries, and freelancing at theaters and as a graphic designer. My work has been featured in the online art magazine Woven Tale Press and published in annual local literary journal Folktales. I have a solo music project titled Lenoir, and a collaborative on named The Assassinated Screenplay, both of which have performed regionally.
