Moonlight and Morning Star present music from a wide range of musical traditions: jazz, R&B, Jewish, African-American Gospel, blues, folk. Their rich harmonies, original arrangements, including spoken word, and engaging performance style, captivate all ages. They have performed in concert arenas, coffeehouses,colleges,schools at conferences, houses of worship and more. When accompanied by Miro Sprague, their son, a young, awarding winning jazz pianist, their performances take flight. They also perform with Morning Star's women's chorus, Wings!
Moonlight and Morning Star have led workshops in singing, Gospel Music,and multicultural awareness. Morning Star presently teaches World Music at Western New England College. Moonlight, a Gospel singer since age 4,has performed with the Wynans, Vishnu Wood, the band, Simba.
The group plays for private parties and ceremonies, providing music created for the occasion. They have received numerous Mass. Cultural Council grants.
