I am a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of modern dance, devised theatre and opera. I am a dancer, choreographer, performer, director and countertenor.
Over the past three years I have been involved in choreographing and directing large scale works. In 2018, I worked as the assistant choreographer and a dancer for a production of Leonard Bernstein’s Mass, presented at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles, and at Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center, New York. I was the rehearsal director for Glass-Handel, an immersive, multimedia opera installation presented at Saint John the Divine in New York, and at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia. In October of 2019 I directed and choreographed a community project as an extension of a production of Philips Glass’s Akhenaten in New York. It gathered 120 performers, including Sean Gandini Jugglers, The Metropolitan Opera, The Brooklyn Youth Chorus and the Mannes Orchestra. The show was presented at the Brooklyn Museum. I currently work as Movement and Associate director for Prisoner of The State, a new opera by David Lang presented at Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center and at the Barbican Center in London, with a future European tour in 2022.
