I came to Western Mass looking for a more creative and independent life. In 2007 my wife and I started KnoxworX multimedia, providing video and graphics for many Western New England schools, community centers, and non-profits. After Covid played havoc on the business, I began multiple personal artistic pursuits, while narrowing my video to what I call ‘documenting performances and artists in the Valley’.
With a fine art degree from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Film/Animation from Rochester Institute of Rochester, I finally feel freed to explore my own storytelling and animation. A current large animation called ‘Lord Mel’ is an ambitious project I have collaborated on for over two years now, aimed as a future movie or series.
Having previous awards in digital media and multiple exhibits of previous art forms including stained glass, creative video projection, interactive digital arts, it feels great to have more freedom to explore with other Valley creatives and talents.
I have also worked with youth through Americorps, Girl's Inc, CCCSA Summer Arts program, mentoring, and community courses, and wish to look for more opportunities.
