Julie Woodbury

Artist / Creative (Individual)

Hi! I’m Julie, part-artist/ part- school psychologist. As a nationally licensed school psychologist working in Massachusetts, I provide counseling services to elementary aged students, determine students’ eligibility for special education, and collaborate with families and teachers. i absolutely LOVE my job and I’m so honored to be a part of my student’s lives. And yes, I keep every piece of artwork my students make for me.

As far as my own art journey goes, I’ve always been doodling but had to put art aside during college and graduate training. When the pandemic hit, I suddenly had so much free time to get back into my passion- creating! I am 100% self taught besides some YouTube tutorials here and there. I value pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and thinking critically. When I’m not drawing, I’m running. I’m a two-time marathoner, animal lover, and nature-goer. I’m always up for a good pint of Ben & Jerrys and watching reruns of The Office.. while painting, of course.

Just so you know, a portion of all proceeds go to organizations dear to my heart, including GLSEN, The Trevor Project, Mass Bail Fund, and The Bail Fund (national level). As a school psychologist often serving underrepresented communities, social justice is the core of my work.
