Heather Kamins has an MFA in creative writing (fiction) from Mills College in Oakland, CA. She is the author of a poetry chapbook, Blueshifting (Upper Rubber Boot Books, 2011), and her fiction and poetry have appeared in Betwixt, Luna Station Quarterly, Chiron Review, Neon, Pear Noir!, and elsewhere. She is the recipient of a 2016 Artist Fellowship in fiction from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Her work reflects her various artistic obsessions, including science, nature, time, the lives of girls and women, and what it means to live in a physical body. She enjoys creating characters and worlds that explore the strange and unusual, and believes that sometimes the strangest world of all is this one.
