Dawn Monique Williams is a freelance director with strong background in ensemble theatre work. She is the resident director of Aces Wild Theatre. Her international directing credits for the company include Edinburgh Festival Fringe productions of Scapin the Cheat (2006), Anna Bella Eema (2008), and The Tempest (2010). In addition to her work with Aces, Dawn has worked at Impact Theatre (associate artist), Woman's Will, the Hayward Greek Festival, the San Francisco Young Playwrights Festival, California Conservatory Theatre, Chester Theatre, New World Theater and leading regional theatres Hartford Stage, TheatreWorks (Palo Alto, CA), and California Shakespeare. Directing credits include: Sleepy, Steel Magnolias, Children of Eden, Little Shop of Horrors, The Burial at Thebes, A Christmas Carol, Medea, Trojan Women, Much Ado About Nothing, In the Blood, and La Ronde. She holds an MA degree in Drama from San Francisco State University, and an MFA in Directing from UMass Amherst.
