For about 30 years, I have been making 35mm images with film - because RESONANCE is important. Subject matter varies, but I have the most fun working with people who like to be photographed, or who may have a strong sense of themselves, perhaps even a mischevieous side. Boring photos do not interest me, and they probably don't interest you, either.
I lived in the Tokyo area between 2002-2014 and made some of my strongest work whilst living in a culture that was not my own. This allowed an opportunity for travel to many other countries, mostly in Europe, Asia and Australia.
The beguiling process of using film often harkens back to the 20th century, to life before '911' and all the rhetoric that followed. I am using this medium as a celebration for all that came before so that in the PRESENT, magic may still be conjured in the PRESENT.
