Cariel Klein (they/she) returned to Double Edge three years ago after feeling an urge to find a creative community that would work with her towards a just world. They are an antagonist in an imperialist world and is an accomplice in an anti-racist, queer, multi-generational, artistic movement. In addition to Double Edge performances, Cariel has recently produced residencies/projects at DE with artists like Ebony Noelle Golden, Ron Ragin, and Keryl McCord. Cariel is uninterested in being defined by the perceptions of others, and would rather come from a culture of plenty—while also acknowledging her role as a white latinx womxn trying to address structures of inequality. Cariel finds beauty in the mixture of athleticism and art and creativity, which they explore in her aerial choreography, and in her role as Associate Producer is passionate about sharing the world they grew up in with those who did not experience the freedom of a world filled with art justice.
