Candice Salyers

Candice Salyers has enjoyed performing with a variety of choreographers, including Li Chiao-Ping and Victoria Marks. Her solo performance work has been presented on concert stages and in landscapes throughout the U.S., U.K., and Estonia, including support from NEFA/National Dance Project, Vermont Performance Lab, Bates Dance Festival, and Wesleyan Center for the Arts. For her current project, A History of Levitation, she is creating and commissioning a total of 100 solos that embody different physical and conceptual perspectives on female sainthood. She holds an M.F.A., a Ph.D., and is also pursuing a Masters of Divinity. Recent publications include contributions to Tanz, Bewegung, und Spiritualität and The Journal of Environmental Philosophy.
