CAAASS

Business Service Organization

CAAASC promotes cultural diversity and inclusion among community members from all races, ethnic groups, age, economic status and gender. The organization serves to promote and enhance the cultural, social, educational, and spiritual awareness and growth of people living in Springfield and its surrounding areas. We host an annual festival which is an event that people look forward to each year. A parade is part of the festivities which provides a display of colorful costumes, decorated floats, cultural music and dance. The Caribbean people can see their island on display connect with them and have a chance to wear their colors. The festival in Blunt Park brings families together as they get to view the life of the Caribbean people through their music, dance, art, and cuisines.  We host a number of community events through the year, Black History with a Caribbean twist, workshop-costume making, thanksgiving dinner, holiday toy giveaway etc.
