Bruce Mandel’s acoustic guitar, keen lyrical ear, and intimate and honest voice have traveled with him across the country and through musical territory both new and familiar. With two recent companion EP’s – “Little Big Things” (2022) and “Big Big Things” (2022) and five full-length albums to his credit - “Big & Little Big Things” (2022), “Bird’s Eye View” (2017), “Sketches" (2012), "Between Dreams and Regrets” (2008) and "Follow Your Heart” (1997) - Bruce regularly tours the U.S. as well maintaining a musical presence in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts. Mandels lyrically driven songs are both personal & probing, whether writing from his own experience or weaving the ballad of anothers, as in Irene Kibbe, about a young Polish emigrant during World War II. Co-founder of The Durango Songwriters Expo in 1996, Bruce has always believed in the power and magic of song, and is committed to sharing that magic through his music and thoughtful insights into his creative process. A multiple Massachusetts Cultural Council grant recipient, Mandel debuted a song he wrote and recorded to help celebrate the 2010 Otis, MA Bicentennial in a special performance funded in part by a Massachusetts Cultural Council Grant. As a supporter of Public Libraries, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this CD goes to The Free Otis Public Library. Bruce has recently developed a creativity/songwriting workshop called "SongSpark!". "SongSpark!" explores creativity in everyday life and applies this to songwriting as a means of expression. "SongSpark! is appropriate for ages 8 and up. “Reminiscent of the singer/songwriters who penned the soundtrack of the ‘60s and ‘70s, Bruce Mandel brews up a coffeehouse sound that’s espresso rich in inspiration and experience.” Singer & Musician
