Becky Waterhouse is a visual artist and community organizer. Her artistic work in illustration, painting, and public art intentionally prioritizes community engagement and the dismantlement of oppressive structures. Becky primarily works closely with other creatives to realize their developing projects, ranging from grass-roots business graphics to DIY children’s books. In addition, she has independently produced murals internationally in Riobamba, Ecuador and Barcelona, Spain.
Becky is currently the Co-Director of Common Folk Artist Collective, a group of 40+ emerging creators who share resources and opportunities to reduce barriers and thrive in their pursuits. She is also a coordinator of the Artist Impact Coalition, a larger cohort of regional arts and cultural organizations that follow the collective impact model to serve North Berkshire artists.
Becky holds a BA in Arts Management from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) and has held several positions in Berkshire galleries, museums, and non-profit institutions. She is from Rochester, NY and lives in North Adams, MA.
