Andy Jaffe

Performing Group

Composer, Author, and pianist Andy Jaffe has been active as a performer and educator for over 30 years, advocating for the proper inclusion of jazz in academic curricula and working throughout the Northeast, Europe and Asia as a clinician, guest conductor, commissioned composer, lecturer and Artist-in-Residence. He is Artistic Director of the Williamstown Jazz Festival (www.williamstownjazz.com).
His portfolio includes the text "Jazz Harmony" (www.advancemusic.com); 3 CDs of original music ("Manhattan Projections: The Andy Jaffe Sextet", www.playscape-recordings.com; "Double Helix: The Tom McClung Andy Jaffe Piano Duo", www.lisciorecordings.com; and "An Imperfect Storm", www.MMCrecordings.com); numerous published academic articles, and hundreds of original arrangements and compositions for instrumental ensembles ranging from string quartet to jazz orchestra.
