Youth Grief Art Show - Space Needed for Gallery Opening in Wilbraham
Type: Space Needed
Hello! I am the Program Director at Rick's Place, a non-profit organization in Wilbraham which provides FREE peer grief support to youth ages 5-18 and their caregivers after the death of a parent or sibling. We are hosting our second annual Grief Awareness Month art exhibit,. showcasing artworks created by program youth and adult participants. Their artworks reflect their grief experiences and help to bring a greater awareness to the community on the impact of grief on youth and families. We are looking for a space to have our gallery opening in November, with a traveling exhibit to take place to various libraries in the months following. We are hoping someone may be willing to donate a gallery space to us for an evening, 2 hours at most, to welcome families and community partners.
Attached is a photo of a painting from last year's show created by a 12 year old, depicting the "before" and "after" following the death of her father.
