Zine Making Workshop
Date/Time
Location
Make-It Springfield (168 Worthington Street Springfield, MA 01103, Springfield MA)
Zines first came to the scene in the 1930's - when science fiction fans began to publish and trade their own stories in "fanzines", an abbreviation for "fan magazine" and later shortened to "zine." Today, zines are published by hand and also on the web - as "webzines" or "ezines."
In this one-day workshop learn to create your zine to publish your art, stories, doodles and more. All we need are a variety of papers, writing and drawing tools, glue, tape, staplers, and photos or images from your phone, magazines or your own drawings.
Bring your favorite topic ideas and take home your first published Zine!
$5, includes all materials. Make-It Springfield is committed to making our workshops financially available to all. If assistance is needed to attend, please reach out to marla@makeitspringfield.org.
