Int/Adv Watercolor Big and Bold with Deborah Rubin

Five Wednesdays March 12 through April 9 from 6:30-9:00pm

Cost: $200-$275 sliding scale*, plus supplies

Learn about techniques, materials, and design while creating vibrant watercolors. Some of the techniques are wet on wet, dry brush, and glazing. This class is for students who have had watercolor experience and need a push to learn more. You will create three or four paintings and will have many decisions to make to propel you forward and get you out of your comfort zone.

Deborah Rubin paints in watercolor and occasionally oils and gouache. She has been pushing the boundaries of photo-realism and hyper-realism since the mid 1970’s with an eye on nature and more recently, architecture. Born in Chicago in 1948, Rubin holds a BFA from the University of Illinois.
