The Winter's Tale performed by the Young Shakespeare Players East

The Young Shakespeare Players East is proud to announce its upcoming production of William Shakespeare's "The Winter’s Tale," a masterpiece that explores themes of loss, hope, love and redemption. With elements of tragedy, comedy, and fairytale fantasy, it is a play that attempts to answer the question: What happens after a tragedy? 

Every member of the Young Shakespeare Players East ensemble participates as actor, director, and stage technician, and there are no auditions or rejections. The two full casts of “The Winter’s Tale,” comprised of actors ages 8-18, have embraced the challenge of bringing Shakespeare's beautiful story and characters to life. 

The performance promises to be a profound and delightful experience for audiences of all ages. With elaborate costumes, wonderful music and dance, and one Shakespeare’s most mesmerizing and beautiful final scenes, the Young Shakespeare Players East invites the community to witness the culmination of months of dedicated rehearsals, hard work and exploration.
