The Young Shakespeare Players East is proud to announce its upcoming performances of William Shakespeare's "The Winter’s Tale," a masterpiece that explores themes of loss, hope, love and redemption. With elements of tragedy, comedy, and fairytale fantasy, it is a play that attempts to answer the question: What happens after a tragedy?
With elaborate costumes, profound themes, wonderful music and dance, and one of Shakespeare’s most mesmerizing and beautiful final scenes, the Young Shakespeare Players East invites the community to witness the culmination of months of dedicated rehearsals, hard work and exploration.
Every member of the Young Shakespeare Players East ensemble participates as actor, director, and stage technician, and there are no auditions or rejections. The two full casts of “The Winter’s Tale,” comprised of actors ages 8-18, have embraced the challenge of bringing Shakespeare's beautiful story and characters to life. These performances will delight audiences of all ages.
