Print Materials and Activities
A kit including a Museum scavenger hunt, activity sheets, and colored pencils will be provided to each family/group at the Admissions Desk upon arrival. Colored pencils should be returned to the Admissions Desk at the end of a visit so they can be disinfected.
Art Studio
Each family/group checking in at the Admissions Desk will be asked if they wish to schedule a timed session in The Art Studio. A set number of 20-minute sessions are available throughout the day.
If all timed sessions in the Art Studio are booked, families/groups can pick up an Art Project To Go! bag, which includes the same materials used in the Art Studio project. These take-away art project bags can be enjoyed out in Bobbie’s Meadow or back at home.
Museum Shop
The Museum Bookshop will allow 8 visitors at a time. If the shop is at capacity, visitors can wait in a socially distanced line until they are able to enter.
Visitors can also shop online at https://shop.carlemuseum.org and arrange for home delivery or curbside pickup. While debit or credit cards are preferred (to reduce cash handling), cash will be accepted.
Hours
Thursday, Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
We are requiring masks for guests ages 5 and up, regardless of vaccination status. The Museum will continue to limit our capacity to allow the staff and our visitors, many of whom are under 12 and not yet vaccinated, to socially distance.
Here’s what you’ll want to know if you are planning a visit:

___

Reserve a spot! Given our capacity limits, we are encouraging everyone to make an advance reservation online. (If you cannot make an online reservation, please call the Museum at 413-559-6301 during public hours.) A limited number of walk-ups will also be available each day.
Given our capacity limits, we are encouraging everyone to reserve admission tickets online. Walk-ups are not guaranteed.
Six feet apart, please: Many of your fellow visitors will still be socially distancing, so we will ask all of our staff and visitors to socially distance. We are limiting the number of people who can enter many spaces within the Museum to make that easier. Please keep your kiddos with you at all times!
