About our presenters: Joey Talbert & Jim LaChapelle

Joey Talbert has been a professional storyteller since the mid 1990's and has been listening even longer! She holds a B.S from UNH in Early childhood education with a minor in theater as well as a M.ED from Lesley in Incorporating arts into the curriculum. She has presented workshops at conferences, middle schools and high schools and has been a guest speaker for college courses. She loves a good story and enjoys helping people find the storyteller inside themselves.

Joey Talbert has been dancing into the hearts of her audience with her highly interactive shows for more than 15 years. It has been said that when Joey tells tales, pictures fly out of her fingertips. She enjoys telling to children of all ages, but having been a preschool teacher for many years, is uniquely gifted with younger audiences.

For more than 30 years, Jim LaChapelle has entertained audiences with his dramatic renderings and was on the board of the 3 Apples Storytelling Festival for 10 years here in Harvard. He shares his collection of original stories and folktales from around the world to both the young and young at heart. Using an array of wonderful voices and colorful characters, his works dance into your imagination. Whether on a grand stage, close and personal or by a roaring campfire, his stories draw you in and envelop you with adventure, horror, laughter and surprises!
