Come Share the Joy!

Join us on Saturday, March 22, 2025 as we learn and sing African American songs of inspiration, hope and joy. We will hold a workshop from 1-5:30pm, singing spirituals, gospel music, protest and freedom songs as we celebrate the culture from which the songs emerged.

Everyone is invited to a Community Pot-luck supper from 5:30-7.

The day will end with an uplifting concert at 7pm, which will include songs performed with the workshop participants. It's an afternoon and evening filled with exciting and engaging music making. All are invited to come and share the joy!

Guest Presenter, Dr. Kathy Bullock, is an educator, scholar, singer, accompanist, and conductor who specializes in gospel music, spirituals and classical works by composers from the African diaspora.
