Shrewsbury Library: Mind Tricks: Neuroscience Magic Show

Mind Tricks is a neuroscience magic show using card tricks to teach concepts of neuroscience through card trick analogies, and mind-blowing magic. Through hosting these educational magic shows, we provide STEM education in a way that is more engaging and exciting than the traditional lecture and textbook style classroom style teaching. The way kids are able to retain information is majorly through feeling a sense of reward for their learning, and while traditional teaching styles reward students with grades, the teaching itself is often not engaging, consequently eliciting for the learning to not be rewarding within itself. We aim to change that by sharing the magic of STEM education in a way never seen before.
