UMass, where he earned his master's degree in jazz composition, brought him here and we hope he never leaves. A staunch revolutionary socialist of the highest integrity and devotion, his politics and philosophies fit right in line with Shokazoba's mission. He is a blisteringly brilliant alto sax player who, by hard work and unrelenting determination, has melted down the pre-exiting form of institutional jazz and recast it to his liking in an eclectic explosion of creative electricity.
