Screendance: Working with Analog Film - Tori Lawrence
Date/Time
Location
School For Contemporary Dance And Thought (33 Hawley St Northampton, MA 01060, Northampton MA)
Working within analog formats, we will experiment with the collaborations between the camera, film chemistry, dancing body, and site. We will look at various methods used by filmmakers as well as develop experimental strategies of our own. We’ll be working with: in-camera editing; digital editing with Adobe Premiere; splice editing: collage editing strategies with found footage; direct animating / manipulating the film surface with dyes/bleach/scratching (camera-less filmmaking techniques)
