PLAYMAKERS - making sense of the world through art and play

**Whitney Robbins, Bobby Brown** and **Joan Green** share a playful, spontaneous, and improvisatory aesthetic. Robbins will show paintings and assemblages from their Brown Series. The color brown conjures warm interiors that crack open to the outside world. Joan Green will display oil paintings and mixed media collages that hum with rhythm and movement, and connection, many featuring dancers. Bobby Brown will show a group of masks, fetishes and sculptures that are simultaneously profound and playful.  He uses repurposed and natural materials as well as found objects. All three of these artists use things discarded, saved, gathered and gifted in the art they create. The Opening Reception will include a dance performance at 3pm!
