Pittsfield winter farmers market
Date/Time
Location
Zion Lutheran Church (74 First St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, Pittsfield MA)
Carrots, apples, locally roasted coffee, sharp cheese and fresh bread … the winter Pittsfield Farmers Market welcomes in farmers and artisans together. You may meet a collective of young farmers who plough by horse-power. You may sample winter squash or hot cider.
The year-round market is teen-led through Roots Rising, a program that helps teens to work at farms and food pantries throughout the Berkshires and supports crews working on local farms and the crew who runs the market in all seasons. They are working toward building a food truck crew as well.
This week’s vendors may include flowers, fruits and vegetables in season, baked goods, local artisans and more, with live music. The farmers market runs every Saturday indoors at Zion Lutheran Church from November to April.
