The Pamela Means Jazz Project sings and plays jazz originals, contemporary jazzy covers (a lá Diana Krall) and Great American Songbook jazz standards from the 1930s to the 1950s made famous by Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Fats Waller, Anita O’Day, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone, Chet Baker and more
The Mount will host a lineup of live music, ranging from globally-inspired jazz to indie blues, in their outdoor theater in the dell every Thursday from July 14 to August 18.
Pamela Means, conservatory-trained in classical guitar and jazz studies with a passion for great music and the journey of an ever-evolving, lifelong, working musician, presents PMJP inspired by some of Pamela’s jazz heroes: Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Anita O’Day, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Tuck and Patti, Lester Young and more. PMJP performs in solo, duo, trio, quartet or quintet formation, presenting jazz standards from the Great American Songbook (1920s-1950s) and Pamela Means’ original jazz compositions.
