Order and Chaos: artworks from Nan Salky and Helen Murphy

Neatly organized in adjacent showrooms this mother/daughter duo show very different artworks. Nan Salky, retired from 35 years as a psychotherapist, presents expressive, occultist-like imagery, beasts of the woods in active pencil, & swirling paint, on raw wooden panels while her daughter Helen Murphy, a full-time nurse at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, presents formal, tightly organized abstract designs on paper. Varied in their paths to image making, they share fastidiousness in their execution.
