oil painter Charles Miller: Protest at Ninety
Date/Time
Location
Anchor House of Artists (518 Pleasant Street ground floor, Northampton, MA 01060, Northampton MA)
** Charles Miller (b.1931), **who **turns ninety this November**, has been a local cultural hero since he moved here in the 1970s, plunging right into the emerging lively art and jazz scene of the Northampton Renaissance. A Boston transplant, he brought with him an urban bravura that translated into incredibly expressionistic oil paintings⏤lots of them. He still paints ambitious works to this day. He is probably painting as you read this. He has been an exceptional percussionist too, well-loved by sensational musicians he played alongside.
