Literary Teas at the Greenfield Public Library: The Midnight Library
___
Good books, good tea & good company. What could be better to end your busy day? Literary Teas combines literary works of fiction with cozy cups of local tea, from Greenfield’s local teashop, Alchemy of Avalon. Join Lisa and Diane for a GPL discussion of The Midnight Library, by Matt Haig, on Thursday, January 27, at 7 pm via Zoom.
In Matt Haig’s novel, between life and death there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision. Faced with the possibility of changing her life for a new one, she must search within herself as she travels through the Midnight Library to decide what is truly fulfilling in life, and what makes it worth living in the first place.
