Composer-pianist Matthew Aucoin and pianist Conor Hanick join forces for an innovative and electrifying two-piano recital. The program highlights a new work composed by Aucoin specifically for Hanick, inspired by the luminous poetry of Ben Lerner, and is structured in two contrasting halves: the "introverted" section features Morton Feldman's mysterious and meditative compositions, while the "extroverted" half bursts with exuberance through selections for one and two pianos by Gabriella Smith, Julius Eastman, and John Adams, including Adams's spirited “Hallelujah Junction.”
