Introduction to LGBTQ Poetry (online class)

This semester-long workshop is intended for beginning to intermediate poets. Our reading will focus on a genealogy of avant-garde queer poetry that extends from the 1930’s into the present day, but people of all identities and orientations are encouraged to attend. We will read work by Frank O’Hara, Eileen Myles, Julian Talamantez Brolaski, and more, and write poems that build on what we read, both as in-class exercises and on our own. We will work together to develop a collective language for giving meaningful feedback on each others’ work. Instructor: Andy Robinson. Ages 18+
