MASS MoCA hosts an exclusive hybrid conversation on the occasion of Carrie Schneider: Sphinx . Live from MASS MoCA's Club B10, artist Carrie Schneider joins renowned film theorist Laura Mulvey, known for her seminal 1975 essay "Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema," remotely from the UK to discuss her new book, Afterimages: On Cinema, Women and Changing Times, and its intersections with Schneider's exhibition Sphinx. Sarah Lookofsky, Director, Kunstnernes Hus, Norway - a contributor to Schneider's catalogue - will join the artist at the museum to moderate. Visit the galleries prior to the talk to experience the exhibition before it closes on September 17. This event is free for MASS MoCA members. Not yet a member? Become one here.
