This 3 part photography series will give insight on Matthew's unique vision and dedication to capturing compelling stories through his lens. His workshops will cover portraiture, tech help with your camera and best practices, and how to make the most of light at golden hour. Each class can be registered separately or for a discounted, bulk price.
CLASS 1: How to Make Better Photos
Thursday, January 30th
In this class Matthew will give a slideshow lecture covering his work and the techniques and logistics that went into the making of certain photos. He will talk about the secrets of being a "good" photographer and how to build longterm skills. There will be time for Q&A regarding each photo and technique discussed.
CLASS 2: How to Best Use your Camera
Thursday, Feburary 20th
All digital cameras welcome! - This class will cover how to use your camera’s settings to best effect. Matthew will focus on exposure compensation within each of your cameras, instruction will also cover using still life and landscape photography to best learn a variety of settings within the same shot,
**Please bring your digital camera with fully charged battery and space on memory card** cameras will not be provided
CLASS 3: Golden Hour Landscape and Portraits
Thursday, March 13th with Thursday, March 20th alternate rain date
This class will take you through making the most of light; this includes a walk outside and through downtown Greenfield to take photos. Matthew will guide you through finding “good light” to make portraits and how to use “bad light” when you’re stuck with it.
**Bring your digital camera with a fully charged battery and space on a memory card
