The Guthrie Center (2 Van Deusenville Road, Great Barrington MA)

House of Hamill brings “upcycled Celtic folk” to the Guthrie Center as part of their Troubadour Series. The band line-up includes Rose Baldino (fiddle and vocals), Brian Buchanan (fiddle, vocals, and guitar), and Caroline Browning (bass, mandolin, and piano). The trio tours nationally, performing at festivals and established folk venues.

House of Hamill’s fourth album, “Wildfire,” will be released to radio and streaming on August 1st. One of the tracks was a recent finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards. The song is entitled, “Shine.”

Baldino relates, "We set out to write a song that might inspire women in the US and give them hope after a tough year. The song is meant for women in all phases of life. It's about having the courage to strike out into new territory and find a community in which you're valued."

Whether they’re ripping through a set of original jigs and reels, adding lush three-part harmonies into traditional folk ballads, or cracking up an audience with stories from the road, House of Hamill puts on a show that captivates audiences from the very first note.

“Their songs are always on the edge of tradition and innovation... their performances are electrifying.” - Sarah MacArthur, Highlander Radio
