GPL Film Fest: Godzilla Double Feature In-Person

The Greenfield Public Library invites the community to step back in time and explore the thrilling world of 1950s science fiction with its upcoming film festival, "Lost in Space: A Retro Sci-Fi Film Fest!" Thursday, 11:00 am: "Godzilla: King of the Monsters!" (1954) When American reporter Steve Martin investigates a series of mysterious disasters off the coast of Japan, he comes face to face with Godzilla, an ancient creature so powerful and so terrifying, it can reduce Tokyo to a smoldering graveyard. Thursday, 2:00 pm: "King Kong vs Godzilla" (1962) When an underhanded pharmaceutical company goes to a remote tropical island to steal King Kong for advertising purposes, they get more than they bargained for when the gigantic ape attacks an unsuspecting village and an enormous octopus. The festival, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, so early arrival is recommended. Refreshments will be served.
