Fun with Alice: Songs of Remembrance

Soprano Tinky Weisblat and pianist Jerry Noble will revisit music Tinky used to perform with the late composer Alice Parker. Together, the two presented American popular standards as the Divas of Hawley. The program will include music by the Gershwins, Johnny Mercer, Duke Ellington, and many more 20th-century composers, as well as a few folk songs and spirituals. The concert is free and is sponsored by the Charlemont Senior Center and the Charlemont-Hawley Arts Council. For more information, call 413-339-4747.
