Full Performance: "Choral Classics by Great Composers"

GCC Community Chorus performs the Full Performance: "Choral Classics by Great Composers." Margery Heins, Conductor, and John Yannis, Accompanist, with soloists from the chorus. Handicap signage at Church St. entrance. Admission is free with donations welcome at the door. The public is encouraged to attend. Music includes a wide variety of sacred and secular choral music from the 13th century to the present. Works include pieces in several languages by Schütz, J. S. Bach, Handel, F. J. Haydn, Brahms, Barber and Arnesen as well as music from the literature of madrigals, spirituals, and rounds. GCC Community Chorus is a a program of GCC Community Engagement, and is made up of GCC students, faculty, alumni, and general community members. Margery Heins has been directing choruses at GCC since 2001, and John Yannis began as the group's accompanist this past fall.
