Franklin County Community Chorus Spring 2024 Concert
Date/Time
Location
Greenfield High School Auditorium (28 Barr Avenue, Greenfield, MA MA)
The 10th Anniversary Spring concert of the Franklin County Community Chorus, taking place at 3:00 PM on May 5th at Greenfield High School, will showcase the talents of a very special guest — 1995 GHS graduate and Broadway-show veteran Kevin Duda.
Paul Calcari, who founded and directs the FCCC after teaching music at GHS for 27 years, is thrilled to welcome his talented former student back to Greenfield. An original Broadway cast member of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and The Book of Mormon, Duda has gone on to form a production company, has served as Executive & Creative Producer for the Hallmark Channel and has developed fresh and forward-thinking entertainment for Regent and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
Duda will perform a set of solo selections in the concert, and will join the FCCC on Billy Joel’s The Longest Time and You Will Be Found from the Broadway show Dear Evan Hansen.
In addition to the pieces featuring Duda, the May 5th concert spans a wide variety of musical delights from the Broadway, pop/rock, folk, and classical genres, including the rousing spiritual “Ride the Chariot,” John Rutter’s “A Gaelic Blessing,” Carly Simon’s stirring “Let the River Run” (from the film Working Girl), Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young’s “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” a Kyrie Eleison by Mozart, and selections from Broadway and film musicals.
Tickets will be available at the door: $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and children under 12.
