Straight from the creative cradle of Western Mass (with a dip into Southern Vermont). Featuring members of Luxor Rentals, Jeanines, Estrogen Highs, Huevos II, Sore Eros, new outfit Creative Writing digs into the crumpled end of Americana, feeling as comfortable as a well-worn sweater. First single “True 90s” laps at Zowee-era Pavement, loose and limber with just a touch of country via some pedal steel from Andy Goulet. Strummed and soaked in a bit of late Autumn sun, the song is emblematic of the warmth on the way from the band’s upcoming debut, also dubbed True 90s. The tape hits spools on January 31st direct from the band. Toast the speakers with the title track until then.
