Date/Time

Location

The Clark Art Institute (225 South Street, Williamstown, MA 01267, Williamstown MA)

Celebrate the beginning of a new year with art, community, and the warmth of a fresh cup of tea. Indulging in the coziness of winter through shared food and drink is a practice that is reflected in many of the artworks in the Clark’s collection. Bring your family members or friends to an all-ages, educator-led tour exploring tea-related objects at 2 pm. Then, learn more about the production and cultural significance of tea in a 3 pm guided tour led by Kathy Morris, Sylvia and Leonard Marx Director of Collections and Exhibitions and curator of decorative arts. Throughout the afternoon, enjoy tea tastings with Heart’s Pace, a North Adams, Massachusetts-based tea and healing arts lounge. As always, enjoy fun themed art-making activities and other exciting surprises during this free afternoon at the Clark!

Free. Special activities in the Clark Center lower level and Museum Pavilion from 1–4 pm. Capacity for tours is limited; pick up a ticket at the Clark Center admissions desk, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
