A 3rd generation fiddle player, Ida Mae Specker was born in a one room cabin in the woods of Vermont. A longtime member of family band 'The Speckers,' hailed by Vermont Public Radio as "Vermont Folk Heroes," Ida Mae fuses original, contemporary, and traditional material, bringing heartfelt new life and relevance to the chain of American folk music. Currently touring as a solo artist and with a backing band, her live show features Specker's original songs in addition to creative arrangements of traditional old-time tunes, bluegrass and country songs.

Funded in part by the New England States Touring program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program and the six New England state arts agencies.

Stick around after for the CitySpace Bluegrass Jam starting at 4pm followed by a performance by Ida Mae Specker and her band at 8pm.
