Join us on Friday, July 12th from 6-8pm in conjunction with Northampton's Arts Night Out, for the opening reception of Juniper Fuse: Pandemic Scrapbook, featuring new works by Ernesto Montenegro. The show will be up from July 5th - August 15th, 2024. Poet Clayton Eschelman uses the term “Juniper Fuse” for the wicks on primitive lamps found in the caves of Lescaux as a metaphor for prehistoric man’s new consciousness and awakening.
Montenegro chose this title for his body of work made during the pandemic years: work which celebrates the resilience and elasticity of the human spirit to emerge from dark times.
