Empowered herbalism with Angela Highsmith
Date/Time
Location
Race Brook Lodge (864 Undermountain Road, Sheffield, MA 01257, Sheffield MA)
Herbalist Angela Highsmith will lead a workshop on roots — harvesting, cleaning, cooking, drying, decoctions and tinctures.
Throughout this experience, she says, she and the group will immerse in the art of creating remedies, deepen an understanding of the profound healing potential of the plants that surround everyone and hone skills in preserving and amplifying their therapeutic properties. These practices are tailored to seamlessly integrate into our daily routines, empowering folk to cultivate wellness with ease and intention.
Coming from a long lineage of nurses, healers and creatives, Angela Highsmith has studied & practiced the healing arts since childhood, centering accessibility, nourishment and ‘weeds.’ Practicing herbalism and remedy-making since 2000, she earned certificates in Herbalism in 2011 with Peeka Trenkle at The Open Center, N.Y., and Permaculture in 2022, and she is most passionate about empowering others to learn their bodies, local herbs, and environment for the most sustainable and thriving people and planet.
